The Elizabethton/Carter County Animal Shelter has multiple animals up for adoption each day. This week’s edition of “Furry Friends” include Bunny, a feline searching for her ‘purr’-fect home. Bunny was spayed during the recent LMU trip. Along with Bunny, Thelma and Louise are up for adoption. Lovable pooches, Thelma (pit-mix) and Louise (hound-mix) were brought in together but can be adopted separate if needed. The price for cats are $45 and dogs are $55. Dogs and cats spayed through LMU or other agencies are available for the regular price but animals in the shelter that have already been spayed or neutered – not by the shelter – are are available for $10. Janice, a roughly 8-year-old dachshund, was discovered April 5 on Highway 91 by animal control and is in search of her owners. For more information on animals, contact the shelter at (423) 547-6359 or visit petfinder.com and search for the Elizabethton/Carter County Animal Shelter on the site’s search engine.
