Anita Joan Hathaway, 44, of Elizabethton, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at Johnson City Medical Center.
Born June 12, 1972 in Lawton, Okla., she was a daughter of the late McArthur and Betty Clark Berry. She had lived most of her life in Carter County.
Anita was a 1990 graduate of Hampton High School. She was an employee of Rite Screen, Elizabethton.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Slaughter, July 24, 2013.
Survivors include three daughters, Amanda Hathaway, Abingdon, Va., Samantha Hathaway, Johnson City, and Sierra Oaks, of the home; two grandchildren, Travis Bunten and Trinity Hathaway; and several uncles, aunts and cousins.
Funeral services for Anita Joan Hathaway will be conducted at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 18, at Memorial Funeral Chapel. Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 19, in the Fairview Cemetery, Hampton. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at her residence.
