Schedule announced for city’s 4th of July event

City of Elizabethton Parks and Recreation announced the schedule for activities during the annual Independence Day Celebration set for Tuesday, July 4.
- Patriotic March & Bike Parade – Begins at 11 a.m. near Dino’s Restaurant through downtown to Covered Bridge Park. The event is open to the public with no registration.
COVERED BRIDGE PARK
- 12 to 12:30 p.m. – Opening Patriotic Ceremony
- 12:30 to 2 p.m. – Retroville
- 12:30 p.m. – Elizabethton Twins Autograph Session
- 1:30 to 1:50 p.m. – Patriotic Bike Parade Judging
- 1:30 to 1:50 p.m. – Little Miss Firecracker Pageant Judging and Crowning
- 2 p.m. – Dancers Dreams Performance
- 2:30 to 4 p.m. – Jerry Pierce Band
Inflatables will be available at the park through the day while free watermelon will be available until supplies last.
JOE O’BRIEN FIELD
- 7 p.m. – Elizabethton Twins vs Princeton Rays
Following the game will be the annual Elizabethton Fireworks Show sponsored by Snap On Tools and Parks and Recreation.
