Union Hill
The Joyaires will be in concert Sunday at the 11 a.m. worship service at Union Hill Free Will Baptist Church.
Sunday, July 21, the Primitives will be in concert at 7 p.m.
Union Hill Free Will Baptist is located at 125 Lane Hill Road between Peters Hollow and Liberty Hollow in the Stoney Creek community.
Everyone is invited.

Morgan Chapel
Son of the Savior will sing Sunday at 6 p.m. at the Morgan Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
The church is located at 1782 Ripshin Mountain Road.

Unaka Baptist
Unaka Baptist Church will host its First Friday Fish Fry this evening from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. All are invited.
The Brotherhood will have its monthly breakfast Saturday from 7 to 10 a.m. at the church fellowship hall. All proceeds will go to the church building project.

Bethlehem Lutheran
“We’re At War” is the sermon topic for Sunday morning worship July 9 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Johnson City. The sermon text is Romans 8: 14-25.
Morning worship is at 8 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Communion will be served at both services.
Interpreted services for the deaf are available the second and fourth Sundays at the 10:45 a.m. service.
Bethlehem Lutheran is located at 201 E. Watauga Ave.

Little Doe Free Will
Little Doe Free Will Baptist Church will sponsor a fundraising golf tournament Saturday at the Elizabethton Golf Course.
Lunch will be served at noon, followed by a shotgun start at 1 p.m.
There will be door prizes, putting contest and much more.
The cost to be a part of the tournament is $200 for a four-member team and hole sponsor is $100.

First Christian
Morning worship Sunday at First Christian Church of Elizabethton will begin at 9:45 a.m. with Minister Michael Klaus speaking. The communion meditation will be given by Chris McCloud. Scripture will be read by Deborah Knapp and Tonya Brown and Alexis Bier will have special music.
Sunday School will begin at 11 a.m.
The elders will lead the service at 6 p.m., presenting an overview of what is happening in the church and there will be a discussion of future plans.
The Tuesday morning prayer service at 10 a.m. will be led by John Smith.
The Visitation Team will go out Wednesday night at 6 p.m. with prayer service and Bible study in the sanctuary.

Hampton First Baptist
Hampton First Baptist Church will sponsor Family Fun Days July 23-26 in the field behind Hampton Dollar General Store.
Activities will begin at 6:30 each evening and will feature free food, special music, a kid zone, youth zone, bingo each night, door prizes, and inflatables on Wednesday evening.
Greater Glory will perform July 23; Generation eXcellent, July 24; and Brown’s Chapel Choir, July 25.
The Rev. Norman Markland, pastor, invites everyone to attend.

First Baptist
Elizabethton First Baptist Church will sponsor day camps at Roan Mountain State Park July 17-20. In the evening, Family Night Programs will be held.

A blood drive will be held Monday, July 10, at Oak Street Baptist Church. The blood drive will be from 1:30 to 6 p.m. at the church, located at the intersection of Stateline Road and Oak Street.

First Presbyterian
Dr. Brian Wyatt, pastor, will speak at morning worship Sunday at First Presbyterian Church of Elizabethton. Morning worship is at 11 a.m.
An Education Hour for All Ages and chancel choir rehearsal is at 9:45 a.m.
July worship will be exploring faith and film in recent movies. The summer movies will be viewed in Martin Hall at FPCe. Upcoming viewings and sermon topics include:
1) Hidden Figures: The story of a team of female African-American mathematicians who served a vital role in NASA during the early years of the U.S. space program. (Screening: July 9 at 12:30 p.m.; Sermon: July 16).
2) Passengers: This romantic sci-fi thriller features a woman and man who wake up 90 years too early when their starship malfunctions. (Screening: July 16 at 12:30 p.m.; Sermon: July 30).

First Free Will
Vacation Bible School will begin Monday at First Free Will Baptist Church of Elizabethton with classes each evening from 6 to 8:30 p.m. through July 14.
Classes will be available for all ages.

Phillippi Baptist
An all-day fundraiser, sponsored by Phillippi Baptist Church will be held Saturday at the Douglas Park. A yardsale will begin at 7 a.m. and a hotdog lunch will be served at noon for the price of $2.
Funds raised will go to buy a mobile wheelchair for six-year-old Macy Campbell, daughter of Anthony and Keisha Campbell. Macy attends West Side School and has unable to walk since birth. She is a member of the Sunshine Band at Phillippi Baptist.
Sunday, the annual Hat Day Celebration will be held at 3:30 p.m. at Phillippi Baptist Church. Prizes will be given to the ladies wearing the Prettiest, Most Unusual, and Funniest Hat.
All ladies are invited to pull their hats out of the box and wear them to Sunday’s special service.
