I am pleased to share with you that you can now access the latest weekly updates from the Northeast Tennessee Regional Economic Partnership (NeTREP) on www.cartercountytn.gov in the Latest News section on the home page. You can track NeTREP’s progress on their efforts to help Carter County grow by viewing the Weekly Headlines on the County website. You can also see their daily posts on their new facebook page located at https://www.facebook.com/NETennessee/ , check out their new website at https://www.northeasttn.com/ , and sign up for their Instagram posts at http://instagrac.com/user/northeast_tennessee .
The new NeTREP Board has been formed, by-laws adopted and regular meetings scheduled. NeTREP Executive Director Mitch Miller will appear before the Commission soon at an upcoming Monthly Commission Meeting to provide the Commission and Carter County’s Citizens with a progress report for fiscal year 2016-2017 and to provide us with NeTREP’s plan for its efforts to increase economic prosperity for Carter County for fiscal year 2017-2018.
In addition to the NeTREP weekly progress updates on the County website, my office will also be posting weekly news updates from the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development received from the state as Team Tennessee Times. Beginning July 24, 2017, my office will also begin showcasing and spotlighting businesses in Carter County on the County’s Economic Development webpage at http://www.cartercountytn.gov/economic-development/ . Good things are happening in Carter County with changes for the better for us all.
