Clarence Franklin Anderson

Clarence Franklin Anderson, 94, of Elizabethton, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 15, 2017, from his residence. Clarence was born on July 20, 1922 in Daleville, Ala., to the late John and Annie Blackmon Anderson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, Elaine Lord Anderson; one brother, John Anderson Jr.; and two sisters, Lunie Mae Anderson Batson and Bertha Anderson Garrett.
Clarence married his wife, Elaine Lord Anderson, on January 20, 1945 in Early County, Ga. He lived many years of his life in Polk County, Fla., where he was employed in the citrus business. He moved back to Early County, Ga., in the 1980s where he and his wife owned and operated a small grocery store. Clarence and his wife were active members, serving and worshipping at Providence Assembly of God Church in Cedar Springs, Ga. In 2002 they moved to Elizabethton to be near their child and grandchildren, who loved and cherished him and will miss him greatly. While in Elizabethton, they worshipped at Southside Christian Church, where their son-in-law, Michael Koruschak, serves as minister. Clarence was known to everyone as a patient, kind and gentle man, full of love and care for those he knew.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Eleanor Anderson Koruschak and husband Michael of Elizabethton; his grandchildren, Randy Koruschak and wife Vanessa of Bluff City, and Eric Koruschak and wife Kyrstal of Elizabethton; one great-grandchild, Aubrey Kate Koruschak of Elizabethton; a brother, Clifford Earl Anderson and wife O’Nez of Blakely, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly, as well as many extended family members and dear friends, including his special friends, Heather, Chandra, Kayla, Paige and Lisa, and Emily.
A service to honor the life of Clarence Franklin Anderson will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Mr. Michael Koruschak officiating. Music will be provided by No Name But His. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, or at the residence of his daughter at anytime. The graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 20, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Michael Koruschak, Randy Koruschak, Eric Koruschak, Charles Dugger, Adam Dugger and Gary Simerly. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, at 9:15 a.m. Thursday to go in procession.
