Carl Oscar Richardson

Carl Oscar Richardson, 86, of Elizabethton, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017, at Johnson City Medical Center.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Wiley and Annie Pearl Williams Richardson.
Carl was retired from the Tennessee Chair Factory. In earlier years he loved to go camping and fishing. He was a member of the New Hope Church of Jesus.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sylvia Richardson, and a brother, Steve Richardson.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Naomi Williams Richardson; two sons, Rickey C. Richardson and wife Joyce, and Curtis E. Richardson, all of Elizabethton; a grandson, Nicholas Green, and a very special great-grandson, Mason Green; a sister, Florence Stevens, Johnson City; three brothers, Frankie and Elbert Richardson, both of Elizabethton, and Harley Richardson, Johnson City; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Carl Oscar Richardsoin will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday, July 31, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastors Sandra and Jonny Ollis officiating. Music will be provided by Shelly Rodifer, Elijah Rodifer and Jerry Smith. The graveside service and interment will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 1, in the Pearl Bowers Cemetery. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, will be Jeremy Pierce, Brian Pierce, Justin Pierce, Nick Green, Josh Pierce, Chris Stevens, Kelvin Campbell and Mason Green. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at his residence. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday to go to the cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at our website at www.memorialfcelizabethton.
