Mason Todd Montgomery, 16, of Elizabethton, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at his residence after a lifetime battle.
He was born February 2, 2001 in Elizabethton. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, D.L. Andrews, and his paternal grandparents, Todd and Angela Montgomery.
Mason loved Winnie the Pooh and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his mother, Jenny Andrews Montgomery and her fiancé Bobby Brown; his father, Matthew Montgomery; his brother, Andy Montgomery; his sister, Peyton Brown; his maternal grandmother, Betty Colvin and her husband Joe; his paternal great-grandmother, Bonnie Montgomery; two aunts, Missy Ward and Rachel Montgomery; one uncle, Tim Andrews and his wife Kim; and his cousins, Zach Mahoney, Whitney, Logan and Bailey Andrews.
Funeral services for Mason Todd Montgomery will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 26, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. John Stevens officiating. Music will be provided by Andy Montgomery and Brittany Crabtree-Gibbs. Interment will follow in the Andrews Cemetery (Sugar Hollow), Butler. Active pallbearers will be Andy Montgomery, Tim Andrews, Bobby Brown and Logan Andrews. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to Jennifer Taylor, Sarah Arrington and Sherry Wallace. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at the residence.
