Randy Lee Grindstaff Sr., 58, of Elizabethton, Tenn., passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017, at the Johnson City Medical Center.
A native of High Point, N.C., he was the son of Virginia Banks Grindstaff, Elizabethton, and the late John Henry Grindstaff.
Mr. Grindstaff was a millwright. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a son, Randy Lee Grindstaff Jr., and two brothers, Perry Grindstaff and Larry Dean Grindstaff.
Those left to cherish his memory in addition to his mother include two sons, Anthony Lee Grindstaff and Jason Henry Grindstaff and wife Melissa, all of Elizabethton; four grandchildren, Miranda Grindstaff, Shelby Grindstaff, Madison Grindstaff and Noah Grindstaff; and two brothers, James Grindstaff, Kingsport, Tenn., and Billy Joe Grindstaff, Greeneville, Tenn.
A graveside service to honor the life of Randy Lee Grindstaff Sr. will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, August 28, in the Grindstaff Family Cemetery (Sally Cove Creek). Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Monday to go in procession to the cemetery.
