John Dayton Morrell, son of James Allen Morrell Sr. and Cassa Belle Miller Morrell, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, after a short illness. He asked God to take him home.
He was born on June 1, 1921. Born handicapped, John was able to live a lively, happy and active life.
He has one surviving sister, Cleo Morrell Blackwell, in Rogersville, Tenn.; a stepson, Gurney Ray Pilk; and several nieces and nephews.
Tetrick Funeral Home was in charge of a private funeral, which was held on Saturday, August 26, 2017.
