Frank Edward Culler

Frank Edward Culler, 77, of Elizabethton, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2017, at his residence after a brief illness.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Clarence H. and Gladys Radford Culler.
Frank was a 1957 graduate of Happy Valley High School. He was a carpenter and retired from the Landmark Corporation. He loved Bluegrass Gospel Music and was a member of the 3rd Day Resurrection Bluegrass Gospel Band. He was a member of Upper Gap Creek Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Janice Vines and Ruth Ann Hill.
Survivors include two sons, Richard E. “Rick” and wife Robin Culler and Keith Culler and his girlfriend, Kathy Nunley; four grandchildren, Abby Green, Travis Culler, Heather Culler and Chris Vestal; his great-grandchildren, Emmy Green, Nevaeh and Taylor Vestal; his sisters, Grace Soliday, Linda Henegar and husband Glenn and Judy Hicks; several nieces and nephews; and his special friends, Barbara King and Sandra Horne.
Funeral services for Frank Edward Culler will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 13, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. Dwayne Calhoun, minister, and Rev. Wayne Mottern officiating. Music will be provided by Nevaeh Vestal, Niles Onks and the 3rd Day Resurrection Bluegrass Gospel Band. Graveside services and interment will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 14, in the Lyons Cemetery. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 9:20 a.m. Thursday, will be Chris Barnett, Gary Simerly, Joe Adams, Niles Onks, Jonathan Barnett and Steve Henegar. Honorary pallbearers will be Burl Mast, Harry Cable, members of the 3rd Day Resurrection Bluegrass Gospel Band, friends from the Red Barn and all his pickin’ buddies. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” the staff of Amedisys Hospice, especially his nurse Mandy. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at the residence of Rick and Robin Culler. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Frank to the Sinking Creek Baptist Church, 2313 Elizabethton Highway, Johnson City, TN 37601. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 9:20 a.m. Thursday to go to the cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at our website at www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
