Faye Marie Padgett

Faye Marie Padgett, 88, formerly of Roan Mountain, went home to be with her Lord, on Saturday, September 16, 2017, at the Center for Aging and Health in Erwin. She was born in Madison, FL and was a daughter of the late Lucious Monroe and Faye Marie Griffin Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Samuel Padgett; a sister, Ann Dunn and a brother, Ralph Shore.

Mrs. Padgett was retired from Sun Bank, Orlando, FL. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Roan Mountain and a former member of the Roan Mountain Citizens Club. She loved to sew, knit, cook and take care of her family.

Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, LuAnne Anderson, Orlando, FL; Dyann Woofter, Orlando, FL; three sons, Randall “PT” Padgett, Roan Mountain; LCDR United States Navy (Retired), Clifton A. Boyce, Virginia Beach, VA: Clinton Ezell, Port Orchid, WA; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, L.M. “Buddy” Williams, Roan Mountain; and a sister, Lou Watford, Kissimee, FL.

A service to honor the life of Mrs. Padgett will be conducted on Thursday, September 21, 2017, at 4:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Roan Mountain with Rev. Richard Stout and Rev. Geren Street officiating. The family will receive friends in the church from 3:00 – 4:00 PM on Thursday prior to the service, or at the home of her son (Faith House), 388 Burbank Road, Roan Mountain, at other times.

Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to the Library Fund of First Baptist Church of Roan Mountain, 8498 US-19E, Roan Mountain, TN 37687.

The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Center for Ageing and Health in Erwin for the excellent and loving care shown to Mrs. Padgett and the family during her time there.
