First Christian
Minister Michael Klaus will continue his sermon series Sunday on the Holy Spirit at First Christian Church of Elizabethton. Morning worship will begin at 9:45 a.m.
Scripture will be read by Paul Manning, and the communion meditation will be by David Hutton. Special music will be by Gene Estep.
Bible school classes are at 11 a.m.
Minister Klaus will speak at the evening service at 6 p.m. The youth and children will have a combined worship time in the fellowship hall before breaking into separate groups for classes.
The Tuesday morning prayer service led by John Smith will be at 10 a.m.
The Wednesday evening Bible study and prayer service will be at 6 p.m. Visitation teams will also go out at that time. Choir practice is at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary.
Ladies Circles will meet Tuesday. The Sunrise Circle will meet at 10:30 a.m. at the home of Alma Ruth Cox, West G St.; the Volunteer Circle at 2 p.m. at the church; and the Esther and Ann Jett Circles at 6:30 p.m. at the church.

Carter Christian
Carter Christian Church, 1765 Highway 91, Stoney Creek, will celebrate homecoming and their 82nd anniversary Sunday at the 10:30 a.m. service.
Lynn Buckles will be the guest speaker. Buckles grew up at Carter Christian and now ministers to a congregation in Kentucky. Special music will be by members of the congregation.
There will not be any Sunday School classes Sunday.
Following the morning worship service, there will be a covered dish dinner.

Blevins Chapel
Homecoming will be celebrated Oct. 1 at Blevins Chapel Baptist Church. The Phillips Family from Gaffney, S.C., will present special music at the 10:30 a.m. service. Lunch will be served at 12 noon.

Charity Hill
Charity Hill Free Will Baptist Church will present Sacred Harmony in concert Sunday morning at the worship service. The service will begin at 10:15 a.m.
Everyone is invited to attend.

Doe River
Homecoming will be held Sunday at Doe River Baptist Church, 113 Avon St., at the 11 a.m. worship service.
Following the morning service, lunch will be served in the Christian Life Center.
There will be no evening service.
All former pastors and members, and friends of the congregation are invited to attend.

Unity Fellowship
Unity Fellowship Church, located at 907 S. Cedar Ave., will have its annual Fall Fest Celebration Saturday, beginning at 10 a.m. and continuing throughout the day.
There will be food, games, prizes and cake walks in addition to special music by the Sounds of Victory.

Heartland Fellowship
The Tabernacle Experience will be presented by Heartland Fellowship Church in Elizabethton Oct. 6 and 7.
Those attending will travel back into Biblical times as Aaron and other Levitical Priests encounter the Day of Atonement. They will see and feel the excitement as the High Priest and Aaron journey through the tabernacle ultimately arriving in the presence of the Almighty God.
Israeli dances and refreshments will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the Tabernacle presentation begins at 7 p.m.
Admission is free, but a love offering will be received at the end.
Heartland Fellowship is located at 211 Heartland Way. Take Stoney Creek exit, first road on the left.

First Presbyterian
The Rev. Dr. Brian Wyatt, pastor, will present the sermon Sunday at First Presbyterian Church of Elizabethton. The service will begin at 11 a.m. and will focus on scripture from Ruth 1, the story of Naomi and Ruth.
An education hour for all ages and choir practice will be at 9:45 a.m.
Other opportunities of the week include meditation Wednesday at 7 p.m.; Thursdays with Jesus Reading Group at 10 a.m.; and yoga Friday at 10 a.m.

Roan Mountain
Community Fellowship
The Roan Mountain Community Fellowship will host a breakfast fundraiser Saturday, Oct. 7, from 7 to 10:30 a.m. at the Roan Mountain Holiness Church.
The menu will consist of biscuit and gravy, eggs, and sausage. The cost is $6 per breakfast.
All proceeds will go to upgrade the community worship center. Donations will be accepted.
