Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints offers Mental Health Fair Saturday

The Kingsport Tennessee Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Johnson City are sponsoring a Mental Health Fair on Saturday, Oct. 14, at 10 a.m..
This is a great opportunity for everyone to learn about mental illness, how to serve those who deal with mental issues, and how to help those that provide care for a family member or friend. Attendees will learn about symptoms, treatments and coping skills as well as other resources including where to find support and education and help in dealing with crisis.
Mental illnesses are brain disorders that cause severe disturbances in thinking, feeling and relating to other people. These illnesses can affect anyone regardless of race, age, gender or intelligence,
The event will be held at the LDS Building at 100 Canongate Road in Kingsport. The program is free and open to everyone 12 and older.
