The congregation of Braemar Baptist Church has called the Rev. Paul Seefelt and his wife, Kellie, to serve as pastor.
The Rev. Seefelt attended Victory Baptist Church Bible Institute in Roan Mountain, earning a Bachelor’s degree in theology. He is currently working on his master’s degree.
The Rev. Seefelt has been preaching for about four years, filling in at various churches. He has been preaching at the Wednesday night services at Victory Baptist for the past two years.
Originally from Texas, the Rev. Seefelt lived in a number of states growing up. At age 18 he joined the U.S. Marine Corps, serving from 1981-85. He has resided in Tennessee for the past 24 years, and has called East Tennessee his home for the past eight years.
His wife, Kellie, is originally from the San Diego, Calif. area, but lived and worked in East Tennessee from 1997-2002, before moving back to California. After meeting her husband, she moved back to East Tennessee in November 2015, where she and Paul were married.
The congregation invites the public to worship with them each Sunday and each Wednesday evening. Braemar Baptist is located at 464 Highway 321, Hampton.
