Dewey S. Hale Jr., 62, of Elizabethton, Tenn., passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017, at Laughlin Healthcare Center, Greeneville, Tenn.
A native of Murfreesboro, Tenn., he was the son of the late Dewey S. Hale Sr. and Dorothy Carter Hale.
Mr. Hale was a member of Pleasant Beach Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved the outdoors.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-son, Joey Braswell.
Those left to cherish his memory include his former wife, Mary Hale; a daughter, Gerry Letcher; a special son-in-law, Kenneth Hammitt; a grandson, Douglas Braswell; a granddaughter, Brianna Braswell; a great-granddaughter, Nevaeh Campbell; a step-daughter, Maude Buchanan; and very special friends, William Braswell, Cody Braswell, Dustin Braswell, Angel Boones and Chad Matherly, all of Elizabethton.
