First Presbyterian
Sunday services at First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethton, include morning worship at 11 a.m. with the message by the pastor, Dr. Brian Wyatt. His sermon text will be based on the scripture, Luke 2: 22-40.
An Education Hour will be held at 9:45 a.m.
Other opportunities for the week include Meditation Wednesday at 7 p.m.; the Thursdays with Jesus Reading Group at 10:30 a.m. The group will continue its discussion of “The First Christmas: What the Gospels Really Teach About Jesus’ Birth” by Marcus Borg and John Dominic Crossan. Yoga is Friday from 10 a.m. to noon.

King Springs Baptist
King Springs Baptist Church, 1708 Miami Drive, Johnson City, will host The Foundations Sunday, Jan. 7, at 10 a.m. for a benefit singing to help R.J. Gardner and Margaret Manning.
The Rev. Jerry Cornett, pastor, and the congregation invite the public to attend.

First Christian
Morning worship at First Christian Church, Elizabethton, will begin at 9:45 a.m. with Minister Michael Klaus preaching. Lorrie Case will have special music and Kay Mathis will read scripture. Tim Broyles will have the communion meditation.
Sunday School will be held following morning worship.
The evening service is at 6 p.m. and will include a special discussion with the church elders, along with food and fellowship.
Morning prayer will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the church sanctuary.
Wednesday evening Bible study will be at 7 p.m.

Grace Baptist
New service times will begin Sunday, Jan. 7, at Grace Baptist Church.
Coffee with Grace will be at 8:30 a.m. followed by the traditional worship service at 9 a.m. and Sunday School at 10 a.m.
Common Ground, a contemporary worship service, will be at 11 a.m.

Redeemer Lutheran
Deacon Tim Carter will present the sermon Sunday at the 10:30 a.m. worship service. His message is titled “Simeon: Lord, Now Let Thy Servant Depart In Peace.”
Luther’s Large Catechism Study will be at 9 a.m.
