Arvil Dean “Toz” Roberts, of Johnson City, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at his residence surrounded by his family after a brief battle with cancer.
A native of Sullivan County, he was a son of the late Brady and Juanita Troxell Roberts.
Toz loved gospel music, singing with his family for many years. His favorite hobby was going to car shows and restoring classic cars. A favorite was the Downtown Elizabethton Car Show and keeping up with old friends he used to work with at N.A.R.C. His grandchildren were his pride and joy, attending as many of their activities as he could. He attended Happy Valley Church of Jesus Christ for over 45 years.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Waller.
The family would like to express their thanks for the many acts of kindness, love and support, but most of all for the many prayers by the church family and the many friends during this time. Thanks to Amedysis for all of their love and support. Toz loved to do volunteer work with Good Samaritan Ministries, fixing food boxes and giving out school supplies.
