Danielle Janel Huggins, 32, and unborn daughter, Janel Lee Anne Hicks, of Roan Mountain, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018, as the results of an automobile accident.
Born August 28, 1985 in Dixon, Ill., she had lived in Carter County for the past seven years, moving here from Greeneville.
Danielle was a graduate of Dixon High School, Dixon, Ill. She attended the Upper Shell Creek Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandpa, Pat O’Brien, Dixon, Ill.; her paternal grandfather, Jerry Dimmig, Dixon, Ill.; and her aunt, Vicky Lee, Byron, Ill.
Survivors include her fiancé, T.J. Hicks, Roan Mountain; daughter, Taylor Voiles, Roan Mountain; step-daughter, Amanda Hicks, and step-son, Michael Hicks, both of Roan Mountain; father, Timothy Huggins, Dixon, Ill.; mother, Jody Reynolds, Elizabethton; sister, Nicole Huggins, Dixon, Ill.; maternal grandmother, Joan Walker, Oregon, Ill.; paternal grandmother, Linda Lambert, Dixon, Ill.; brother, Tyler Reynolds, Dixon, Ill.; step-mother, Sue Cox, Polo, Ill.; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and special friend, Alicia Johnson.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 16, at the Upper Shell Creek Christian Church with a memorial service following at 7 p.m. Mr. Donnie Kirby, minister, will be officiating. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to her aunt and uncle, Diane and Ron Kirby, for all their help during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers any donations may be delivered to Memorial Funeral Chapel to be taken to the church. Friends may visit with the family at the residence of T.J.
