Kimberly Carol “Kim” Bare Spencer, 54, of Bluff City, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018, at her residence after an extended illness.
She was born August 2, 1963 in Flint, Mich., to the late William and Anna Timbs Bare. She had lived in Tennessee since 1984.
Kim was a 1981 graduate of Flushing High School, Flushing, Mich., and a graduate of Northeast State, Blountville. Prior to her illness she was employed as a Customer Service Representative with Aero-Care, Kingsport. Kim was also a goat farmer. She was a member of Southside Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Mike Spencer; her son, Eli Spencer; her brother, Mike Bare; her niece, Haley Bare; her nephew, Daniel Bare; and her brother-in-law, Alan Spencer and his wife, Cindy.
A memorial service for Kimberly Carol “Kim” Bare Spencer will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 14, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. Michael Koruschak, minister, officiating. Music will be provided by No Name But His. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to her church family, Southside Christian Church, for the support given to them during Kim’s illness. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, Kim had requested to make donations to “Helping Brody Hear”, c/o Andrew McKeehan, Carter County Bank, 601 East Elk Avenue, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
