Garry Lewis Ellis, 74, of Roan Mountain, passed away Friday, February 9, 2018, at Johnson City Medical Center.
A native of Roan Mountain, he was a son of the late Brady and Guessie Perkins Ellis.
Garry was a retired construction worker. He was a member of Lower Shell Creek Christian Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Birchfield.
Survivors include his companion, Linda Baker Williams; a daughter and son-in-law, Tami and Dean Hagie, Butler; his grandchildren, Brittney Beam and Ethan Hagie; a great-grandson, Waylon Beam; two brothers, J.B. Ellis and wife Nan and Joe Ellis; several nieces and nephews; and his special buddy “Dezi.”
A memorial service for Garry Lewis Ellis will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 17, at the Lower Shell Creek Christian Church with Mr. Delaney Berry and Mr. Gerald Holly officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Saturday at the Lower Shell Creek Christian Church. Honorary pallbearers will be his fishing buddies.
