Jerry Markland Estep

Jerry Markland Estep, 72, of Elizabethton, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018, at his residence. He was born December 18, 1945 in Carter County.
Jerry was a graduate of the Tennessee School for the Deaf. He was a Certified Mechanic, having worked at Sherwood Chevrolet, and retired from E & P Motors. He was a member of Zion Baptist Church. He was a Dale Earnhardt Jr. Racing Fan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lundy Markland; a brother, Stevie Estep; a brother, Norman Markland; and a sister, Geraldine Campbell.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Betty White Estep; his step-sons, Mitch Campbell and wife Karen, Charles Campbell Jr. and wife Sharon and Jessie Campbell Estep and wife Melissa; his sisters, Sharon Estep, Constance Scott, Jetonnia Rash, Vickie Vandeventer and Linda Davis; his brothers, Roger Markland and Terry Estep; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Jerry Markland Estep will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, February 19, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Willie Campbell and the Rev. Harvey White officiating. Interment will follow in the Ensor Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
