Jackie Lee Miller Sr., 80, of Cape Coral, Fla., entered into eternal peace on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at Hope Hospice in Lehigh Acres, Fla.
Jackie was born in Barrett, W.Va., to Grover and Ethel on September 29, 1937. He attended Elizabethton High School in Elizabethton, Tenn. Jackie is survived by his wife, Connie, of 30 years.
Jackie is survived by his son, Jackie Jr. (Betty), of Naples, Fla., and two grandchildren, Matthew (Erica) and Terry (Brian), and five great-grandchildren. Jackie is also survived by his two daughters, Renee (Travis) and Connie Messenger, three grandchildren, Lita, Victor and Nathaniel, four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Jackie was preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Ethel Miller, two brothers, four sisters, and his daughter, Terry Lynn Miller.
Jackie was known by “Jackie Lee” in the music industry and was a renowned entertainer with a magical singing voice and an accomplished guitarist. He loved jazz, rhythm and blues and fifties music.
Jackie and wife Connie later formed a music duo called “Music Box.” They loved singing together. Jackie also loved to play music in jam sessions with his friends in Fort Myers, Fla., and loved entertaining his audience.
Jackie’s other passion was playing golf. He could play rounds with strangers, friends or family while telling jokes and stories.
