Sarah Beth Gouge Schaag, 80, of Elizabethton, passed away Monday, February 19, 2018, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.

Ms. Schaag was born in Elizabethton to James and Gladys Gouge and grew up in Elizabethton. She attended ETSU and later moved to Florida and married.

In 2004, she returned to Elizabethton and was a dietitian at Sycamore Shoals before retiring.

She is survived by four daughters, Holly Maconeghy (Art), Teena Girard (Bryan), Melissa McDonald (Michael) and Laura Turner; son, Eric Schaag; a sister, Betty Carr; and four brothers, Allen, Ronnie, Gary and Glen. She has 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Memorial services will be Thursday, February 23, at 6 p.m. at Lynn Valley Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be given to the estate of Sarah Schaag.
