Dorothy Alean Jones Gouge, 83, of Elizabethton, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, March 1, 2018, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
A native of Wyandotte, Okla., she was a daughter of the late John Wesley and Nellie Jewel Blankenship Jones.
Mrs. Gouge had lived in Elizabethton since 1953.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Paul “Bo” Gouge; three daughters, Paula Hayes and husband Tom, Bristol, Va., Betty Hicks, Elizabethton, and Mary Reed and husband Clinton, Watauga; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Ernest Jones, Denver, Colo.; one sister, Nancy Lasley, Denver, Colo.; and several nieces and nephews.
The graveside service for Mrs. Gouge will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, March 5, at Mountain Home National Cemetery with Pastor Dennis Wilson officiating. Interment will follow the service. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 9:50 a.m. Monday.
