Brandi Irene Thompson

Brandi Irene Thompson, 17, of Roan Mountain, Tenn., passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018, in a car accident on Highway 19E in Hampton, Tenn.
Brandi was born on February 14, 2001 in Johnson City, Tenn., to Mike “Turtle” Thompson and Linda Potter, both of Roan Mountain.
Brandi was preceded in death by one brother, Mikie Stuart Thompson; her grandparents, Earl and Irene Thompson and Jess and Frances Potter; and three uncles, William, Sandy and Stuart Thompson.
Those left to cherish her memory, in addition to her parents, are her soulmate, Hunter Poteat, and two sisters and one brother, Wendy Thompson Flesher and husband Henry, Cassidy Potter and Jesse Potter and girlfriend Haley Robinson.
Brandi was full of life. She enjoyed spending time with her soulmate and friends. She always had a beautiful smile on her face. Brandi attended Cloudland High School. The family would like to give a special thanks to Opie Chambers, he is an educator and friend. Brandi enjoyed his class.
We would like to request that those attending her service wear Tie-Dye to represent the rainbow of God’s promise that we will see her again. Brandi was every color at once and just as beautiful. Forever and always.
A service to celebrate the life of Brandi Irene Thompson will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 17, at First Baptist Church in Roan Mountain. Officiating will be Mr. Michael Blair, Mr. Brandon Young and Mr. Dennis Milhorn. Music will be by Jon Shell, piper. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 2 p.m. at the church. The family will also receive friends at their home, 7953 Highway 19E, Roan Mountain, Tenn. Interment will follow the service at the Potter Cemetery in Roan Mountain. Active pallbearers will be Andy Stout, Tim Booker, Travis Stout, Jeremiah Hodge, Gary Hughes, Jearamy Ward, Henry Flesher, Jessee Potter and Hunter Poteat. Honorary pallbearers will be Brookie Potter, David “Duck” Thompson, Pete Simerly, Kenny Jones and all her friends and classmates at Cloudland High School.
