Jacob William Hampton

Jacob William Hampton, 30, of Elizabethton, Tenn., passed away Thursday, March 29, 2018. A native of Elizabethton, he was the son of Deborah Lee Ramsey Hampton, Elizabethton, and the late Michael Stuart Hampton.
Jacob was a carpenter. He attended the Stoney Creek Church of Christ. He loved to fish, ride his bike, nature and especially loved spending time with his brother Jesse and his nieces.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a grandmother, Joan Wright, and his grandfathers, Glenn Wright and Stuart Hampton.
In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memory include a brother, Jesse S. Hampton and Angelica Mayse, Johnson City, Tenn.; four nieces, Jessa Leigh Hampton, Lilian Hampton, Vella Nave and Liahna Nave; a grandmother, Eleanor Hampton, Elizabethton; an aunt, Kathy Grindstaff; cousins, Dustin Grindstaff, Bill Hampton and Holly and William Hampton; and a friend, Frank Newman.
A Celebration of Life Service for Jacob William Hampton will be conducted at 6 p.m. Friday, April 13, at the Stoney Creek Church of Christ, 1162 Highway 91, Elizabethton, Tenn., with Mr. Jeff Johnson, minister, officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday, prior to the service.
