Jettie Garver McKeehan

Jettie Garver McKeehan, 84, of Elizabethton, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at her residence following a lengthy illness.
A native of Cosby, Tenn., she was a daughter of the late Newt and Nancy Williamson Garver. She had lived in Elizabethton since 1950.
Jettie retired from Siemens, Johnson City. She was a member of Oak Grove Christian Church and the Loyal Workers Sunday School Class.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Phillip McKeehan, who died June 11, 2005; her brothers, Walt, Floyd and Thad; and sisters, Nina B., Ola V., Eva Lou, Joyce and Bertha.
Survivors include her daughters, Janice (Ray) Lyons and Mandy (Jeff) Holt; grandchildren, Ray Lyons Jr., Molly Lyons, Rachel (Blake) Taylor and Travis (Jennifer) Holt; great-grandchildren, Macie (Kody) Smith, Mackenzie and Josie Lyons, Galen White, Sydney Lee, Jackson, Levi and Lillia Taylor, Dakota and Grayson Holt; her brothers, Phillip and Lemuel; a sister-in-law, Velma Garver; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Jettie Garver McKeehan will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 22, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Dr. Tim Ross officiating. Music will be provided by Teresa Campbell, soloist, and John Banks, pianist. Interment will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Chambers, Bud McKeehan, Leonard Douglas, Howard McKeehan and her church family. The family would like to give a special “Thank You” to Jettie’s caregivers over the last few years for all their loving care of our dear mama, Loretta, Janet, Mary, Lori, Brittany, Margaret, Crystal and Debbie. Also, a special “Thank You” to Amedysis Hospice for their love, care and support over the last three months. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Jettie to the Maggie Kyte Circle, c/o Oak Grove Christian Church, 436 Jim Elliott Road, Elizabethton, TN 37643 or Hopwood Christian Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 149, Milligan College, TN 37682. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service. Friends may also visit with the family at her residence.
