James Daniel McNulty, 31, of Ladson, S.C., passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018, at Trident Medical Center, N. Charleston, S.C.
James was a native of Elizabethton. He was employed as an office manager with Cornerstone Health Adversary, Charleston, S.C. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Johnson City.
Survivors include his father, James Richard Matherly, Elizabethton; his mother, Anita Lynn McNulty, Elizabethton; two brothers, Nicholas Lawson, Bristol, and John McNabb III, Elizabethton; a sister, Ehlena Slemp, Elizabethton; his grandmother, Brenda Rainbolt Penix, Elizabethton; his grandfathers, Clarence Matherly and Gerald Oliver of Indiana; his great-grandmothers, Virginia Harmon, Butler, and Alice McNulty of Texas; two step-fathers, John McNabb Jr. of Virginia and Kevin Humphrey, Elizabethton; his step-great-grandfather, John McNabb Sr. of Virginia; and four nieces, Aya, Audren, Keira and Kairi.
Funeral services for James Daniel McNulty will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 26, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. Steve Wilson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses. Friends may also visit with the family at the residence of his grandmother, Brenda Rainbolt Penix, 106 Starlight Drive, Elizabethton. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. It was his wish to be cremated following the funeral service.
