Watauga Valley
The Golden Group will meet at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 10, at the Watauga Valley Free Will Baptist Fellowship Hall. There will be a message and singing. Lunch will be served.
The Rev. Bill Greer is pastor.
Watauga Valley is located on Highway 91, just past Unaka High School.

First United Methodist
Come See and Celebrate Sunday will be observed May 6 at First United Methodist Church, 325 E. E St.
The pastor, the Rev. Raymond W. Amos, Sr., will bring the message “Celebrate! We Have The Victory!” based on scripture from Psalm 98.
The service will begin at 9:55 a.m. followed by Sunday School at 11:20 a.m.
The 4:12 Junior High Student Ministries will meet Sunday from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. and the Senior High group will meet from 5:45 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday. The Coolagers will meet Wednesday at 6 p.m.
The Wednesday evening Bible Study will be held at 6 p.m. in the sanctuary.

First Christian
Eric Dunlap, youth minister, will bring the message at the morning worship service at First Christian Church, Elizabethton.
The service will begin at 9:45 a.m.
The communion meditation will be given by Drew Pearson, and scripture will be read by Cassidy Stover. Emily Dunlap and Sophia Estep will present special music.
Bible school classes will meet at 11 a.m.
The evening service is at 6 p.m.
The Ladies Bible Study Group will meet Monday at 6:30 p.m., featuring a new lesson series by Kay Arthur. The group is led by Paula Manning and Ashleigh McCloud.
The Tuesday morning prayer group, led by John Smith, will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the sanctuary.
The Wednesday evening service will be at 6 p.m. with classes for all ages.

St. John Free Will
Revival will begin Monday, May 7, at St. John Free Will Baptist Church, Roan Mountain. Services begin at 7 p.m.
The public is invited to attend.
The pastor at St. John is the Rev. Richard Shepard.

Long Hollow Baptist
Mercy’s River will sing Saturday at the Long Hollow Baptist Church in Valley Forge. The service will begin at 7 p.m.
Everyone is invited.

Unaka Baptist
A community yard sale will be held Saturday at Unaka Baptist Church, beginning at 8 a.m.
Hotdogs and popcorn will also be available for purchase.
The public is invited to participate.

Sims Hill Christian
Revival will begin Sunday at Sims Hill Christian Church and continue through May 9 with services at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday and at 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.
The guest evangelist is Minister Bud Gentry.
Special music will include Jake Jenkins of Valley Forge Christian, Sunday morning; The Sunshine group from Sims Hill and Harvest Time Christian, Sunday evening; Taylor Ireland, Monday; Eve Justus and daughters, Tuesday; and the Sims Hill Choir, Wednesday.
All are invited to attend. Bret Jones is minister.
The church is located at 206 Sims Hill Road.

Bethlehem Lutheran
“This Is My Command” is the sermon theme for Sunday morning worship May 6 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Johnson City. The sermon text is John 15: 9-17.
Morning worship is at 8 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Communion will be served at both services.
Interpreted services for the deaf are available the second and fourth Sundays at the 10:45 a.m. service.

The sermon for Sunday morning worship at First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethton, will be presented by the pastor, Dr. Brian Wyatt. The service will begin at 11 a.m.
An education hour for all ages is at 8:45 a.m.
Other opportunities for the week include Meditation, Wednesday at 7 p.m.; Thursdays with Jesus Reading Group from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon Thursday; and Yoga Friday at 10 a.m.
