Mary Louise Holdren Lyons Pierce

Mary Louise Holdren Lyons Pierce, 78, of Elizabethton, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at Signature Health Care.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Archie and Nora Vaughn Holdren.
Louise was formerly employed at Magnavox Corporation and as a CNA at Appalachian Christian Village. She was a member of Pearces Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
Louise was looking forward to seeing her children and family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, J.L. Lyons and Robert Glenn Pierce; two children, Michael E. Holdren and Karen Sue Lyons; and three sisters, Barbara Garland, Ethel Akard and Elberta Sims.
Survivors include a sister, Anna Miller, Elizabethton; a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Brenda Holdren, Elizabethton; a step-daughter, Joyce Parrish; a step-son, Robert Pierce; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mary Louise Holdren Lyons Pierce will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, May 25, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. John Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in the Lyons Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to her special friends, Betty Campbell, Niki Ensor, Pat Vines and her church family for all the love and support given to her during her illness. In lieu of flowers, Louise had requested that memorials be made to Pearces Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, P.O. Box 335, Hampton, TN 37658.
