Michael David “Bird” Moore, 60, of Elizabethton, Tenn., passed away at Sycamore Shoals Hospital on Thursday, May 31, 2018.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Clarence Edward and Audrey Marie Morris Moore.
Bird was retired from Summers-Taylor Inc. He was a member of Borderview Christian Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Peters.
Survivors include his wife, Loretta Booker Moore; a son, Michael Clarence Moore, Elloree, S.C.; one sister, Wyonna Carver, Hampton; two brothers, Terry Lee Moore and James Edward Moore, both of Elizabethton; and several nieces and nephews.
The graveside service for Michael David “Bird” Moore will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 3, in the Old Slagle Cemetery with Pastor Bill Younce officiating. Music will be provided by Joel Crisp. Interment will follow the service. Pallbearers will be John Kelly, Marty Elliott, Harvey Gibson, Josh Moore, Tony Townsend and Chris Smith.
