Jerri Leona “Big Babe” Blevins 76, of Elizabethton, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Signature Health Care.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Ruth Grindstaff Dumic.
Leona was a former beautician and restaurant owner.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Wiley E. Blevins; a daughter, Sherri Dee Long; and an infant son.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Teresa Blevins, Linda Brown, Rose Blevins, Cindy Brookshire and Kathy Yarber; her sisters, Linda (Sis) Gentry and Katy Davis; her brother, Bobby Joe Dumic; and a special brother-in-law, Ed Gentry. Seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
A gathering of family and friends to celebrate the life of Leona Blevins will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 9, at her home, 105 Palms Lane, Elizabethton. Friends and family may visit at the home of her sister, Linda Gentry, 700 N. Pine Street, prior to the Celebration of Life.
