David Wayne Livingston, 41, of Elizabethton, Tenn., passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at Signature Health Care of Elizabethton following an extended illness. A native of Elizabethton, he was the son of Robert and Kathy Morris Livingston, Elizabethton.
David was a restaurant manager and was of the Baptist faith.
David enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Caroline Morris, and his paternal grandparents, Ralph and Una Livingston.
Those left to cherish his memory in addition to his parents include a sister, Karen Smith and husband Brian, Elizabethton; two nieces, Courtney Rash and husband Eric and Katie Surcey and Scott, and a nephew, Jacob Surcey. Great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.
A service to honor the life of David Wayne Livingston will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. Friday, July 20, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Bill Davis officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, prior to the service, or at the residences of any of the family at other times. The graveside service and interment will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 21, in the McKeehan Cemetery, Elizabethton. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Everyone is asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Saturday to go in procession to the cemetery.
