Staff with the Carter County Sheriff’s Office, alongside Elizabethton City Police and fire departments, organized a police escort early Friday morning for the family of the late CCSO Lt. Brian “Bull” Durham. Durham, who passed away Thursday, was welcomed back to Carter County by over 30 vehicles. The escort transported the family back home upon their arrival from Nashville. During the rainy morning hours, CCSO met at the Carter County-Washington County line to lead the family in.
