Mary Ann Hilton Bird

Mary Ann Hilton Bird, 79, of Hampton, passed away Monday, August 6, 2018, at her residence. She was born February 21, 1939 in Coatesville, Pa., to the late Park and Mae Hilton. She had lived a number of years in Carter County.
Mrs. Bird was a homemaker and caregiver. She was a member of Fairview Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Delbert Davis; her second husband, Norman Bird; a son, Delbert W. Davis; and two sisters, Dorothy Vanoy and Betty Worts.
Survivors include a daughter, Jeanette Blevins, Elizabethton; two sons, Ronald A. Davis, of the home, and Rex Davis and wife Valerie Ann, Holladay, Tenn.; nine grandchildren, Angel Pressley, Michael W. Davis, Delbert Davis, Rex Davis Jr., William Davis, Tonya L. Davis, Michael J. Davis, Jessi S. Davis and Shanna M. Davis; a brother, Park Hilton Jr.; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The graveside service for Mary Ann Hilton Bird will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 8, in the Ellison Cemetery, Hampton, with the Rev. Gary Whitehead officiating. Interment will follow the service. Active pallbearers will be Michael J. Davis, Delbert Davis, Rex Davis Jr., Michael W. Davis, Shannon Birchem and William Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Ernest Brock, William Presslor and Jeff Baker. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to Albert Ellis, Pastor Gary Whitehead and the members of Fairview Free Will Baptist Church.
