To the editor:
In answer to “Some questions for letter writer” in the August 8, 2018 Elizabethton Star. I thank them for their questions. I said, “it’s disturbing that the Democrat Party is running 42 candidates who are socialist/communist and they are running 90 who are Muslims for 2018 elections.” I failed to include my sources. The source for the 42 candidates who are socialist/communist is Pastor Geoffrey Grider at www.nowtheendbegins.com. The source for the 90 Muslims running for 2018 elections is Christian pastor and former Muslim Shahram Hadian at www.worldviewweekend.com. I don’t have space to answer all the questions about what is wrong with socialist/communist and Muslims and the Democrat Party. Here are questions for the Democrats. Why would the 2016 Democrat National Convention(DNC) be the most pro-abortion convention ever with the platform changed to call for the repeal of the Hyde amendment in order to provide unlimited taxpayer-funding of elective abortions for Medicaid recipients? Why would the DNC have Mrs. Hogue proudly shout out about her abortion to a cheering crowd and loud applause? Why would the DNC change the women’s restrooms into “All-Gender” restrooms? Why would the DNC add a fence at their convention to keep other Democrats out while they are against a fence on the Mexican border to keep illegals out? What did Hillary Clinton mean when she said, “Deep seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed?” Hillary Clinton called Trump supporters “deplorable.” What makes one a “deplorable?” As you can see it’s easier to ask questions than to answer them.
The liberal media calls Trump un-American for trying to protect actual Americans from illegal immigrants. They call Trump a Nazi for trying to stop the Muslim Sharia Law which is actually similar to Nazism and is incompatible with our Bill of Rights and U.S. Constitution. The liberal media calls all Republicans like Trump as having a war on women because they want restrictions on abortion but they don’t speak out against Muslim Sharia Law which is an actual war on women. To say that all Muslims are terrorists is wrong. Hillary Clinton’s top aide was a Muslim woman and Hillary said she would bring in a record number of Muslims. Hillary Clinton’s statement that “Islam has nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism” is wrong. A 2015 study found that over 99 percent of all suicide attacks worldwide were motivated by Islam. Of those killed by terrorist attacks in the U.S., 94 percent were killed by Muslims. “Islam is to terror what rain is to flooding.” The Center for Security Policy poll showed 25 percent of Muslims here in America agree that violence against Americans is justified as part of the global jihad and 51 percent of those polled agreed that Muslims in America should have the choice of being governed according to Sharia. There can only be one law that governs the people of America and I would submit that anyone not willing to recognize our U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights should remove themselves from our shores. In the Bible, Paul showed how to criticize Judaism theologically while loving Jews. It’s unbiblical to hate anyone or harass anyone for their religious beliefs. However, it’s not harassment when we ask questions to promote understanding and find the motive for the Muslim high rate of violence. Why are there no Muslim countries like America to which millions of people from the rest of the world are coming? Why are all Muslim countries either dictatorial or autocratic? The major media is always wrongly saying all religions are the same and they all have the same amount of violent people. The major media is wrong. All religion aren’t the same. “It’s far easier (for the liberal media) to act as if critics of Islam have a problem with Muslims as people than it is to accept the uncomfortable truth that Islam is Different.” The Islamic religion of the Middle East isn’t just a religion, it’s a political system. What makes people suspicious of Muslims is their religion is based on laws and as a result they take over governments and don’t allow other religions in their countries and force their religion’s laws on the country. Islam means submission or surrender and that is the main issue. America should never submit!
Christianity is based on no works only in Jesus. Believe means to place total and complete trust in Jesus and Jesus alone for eternal life. John 17 says, “This is eternal life that they might know you, the only true God and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.” To be a Christian you must believe (trust, rely and depend) on Jesus, the baby born in a manger who grew up and died for our sins and rose from the dead. Because Christianity is based on belief in Jesus and belief can’t be forced, Christianity has brought more freedom than all religions and as America moves away from Christianity it moves away from freedom!
