Richard Haynes Robinson

Richard Haynes Robinson, 73, of Elizabethton, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 17, 2018, at his residence. Richard was born in Elizabethton to the late Gon Zala and Charlotte Wingfield Robinson.
Richard was an undergrad of the University of Tennessee and earned his Pharmacist Degree from Mercer University in Atlanta, Ga. He retired as a pharmacist and was a United States Army veteran, having served during Vietnam. Richard was a member of First United Methodist Church in Elizabethton and was a volunteer for the Second Harvest Food Bank. He loved golf, baseball — especially the Atlanta Braves — and most of all he loved watching his grandchildren play.
Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Fredrick David Robinson and wife Ashley of Germantown, Tenn.; his daughter, Rachel Robinson Roller and husband William of Johnson City, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Aiden Roller, Ethan Roller, Tyler Robinson and Charlotte Robinson; and the mother of his children, Glenda Bowers Robinson of Greeneville, Tenn.
A service to honor the life of Richard Haynes Robinson will be conducted at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 22, at First United Methodist Church of Elizabethton with Rev. Raymond W. Amos Sr. officiating. Music will be under the direction of the Chancel Choir of First United Methodist Church and Mr. David Arney, organist. The family will receive friends at the church from 4:30 until 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Second Harvest Food Bank, 1020 Jericho Drive, Kingsport, TN 37663 or First United Methodist Church, 325 East E.
