Long Hollow
Toby Rainbolt will preach Sunday at both the morning and evening services at Long Hollow Baptist Church in Valley Forge.
Services will begin at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Everyone is invited to attend.

Upper Gap Creek
Forgiven will sing at Upper Gap Creek Free Will Baptist Church Sunday at 6 p.m.
A love offering will be received.
The church is located at 1380 Dry Creek Road, and everyone is invited.

First United Methodist
The Rev. Raymond W. Amos, Sr., pastor, will present the sermon “No Turning Back” at morning worship Sunday at First United Methodist Church, Elizabethton. The scripture text is John 6: 60-69.
The service begins at 9:55 a.m. followed by Sunday School at 11:20 a.m.
The Junior High 4:12 Student Ministries will meet Sunday from 4:12 to 5:25 p.m. and the Senior High Ministries from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m. The Coolagers will meet for Movie Night Aug. 29 at 6 p.m.
Life Lessons will be taught at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Fellowship Hall.

Elk Mills
Homecoming will be held Sept. 2 at Elk Mills Christian Church. Also, a revival will begin Sept. 3 at the church and continue through Sept. 7.
Everyone is invited.

First Christian
Minister Michael Klaus will have the message for morning worship Sunday at First Christian Church, Elizabethton. Dr. David Mills will lead the worship, and the communion meditation will be given by Charles Hayes. James Hughes will read the scripture and Janie Broyles will present special music.
Bible school classes will meet at 6 p.m.
Ron Marvel of East Tennessee Christian Home Academy will speak at the 6 p.m. service.
The Tuesday morning prayer group will meet Aug. 28 at 10 a.m. in the sanctuary. The service will be led by John Smith.
Bible study will be held Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the sanctuary. There will also be classes for the children and youth.

Unaka Baptist
The Brotherhood at Unaka Baptist Church will have a country-style breakfast Saturday from 7 to 10 a.m.
The menu will include biscuits and gravy, eggs, two kinds of sausage, bacon and hash brown potatoes, and other items on request.
The cost is $7 with proceeds going to the church building fund.
Everyone is invited.

Bible Baptist
Evangelist T.D. Burgess will be preaching nightly at revival at Bible Baptist Church Aug. 26-31.
Services begin at 7 p.m.
The church is located at 1215 Broad St. and everyone is invited.
Awana Club begins Sept. 5 at the church, and all children are invited.

Zion Baptist
Zion Baptist Church, 1982 Gap Creek Road, will celebrate its 175th homecoming Sunday, beginning at 10:30 a.m. when Jeff and Sheri Easter will be singing.
A covered dish meal will be held following the service.
There will be no Sunday School, children’s church or evening service Sunday.

First Presbyterian
The pastor, Dr. Brian Wyann, and intern Emily Morrell will present a special sermon Sunday at First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethton, that explores art and worship.
Music will be provided by the Harmony Winds, a group of musicians that provides a beautiful blend of harmonic sounds from wind instruments.
The service will begin at 11 a.m. with an education hour for all ages at 9:45 a.m.
Other opportunities for the week include Meditation at 7 p.m. Wednesday; Thursdays with Jesus Reading Group from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon Thursday. The group is presently reading “The Soul of America: The Battle for our Better Angels” by Jon Meacham.
Yoga is Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.

First Free Will
Greg Crowe and the Sacred Journey Quartet will present special singing Sunday at the 11 a.m. worship service at First Free Will Baptist Church, Elizabethton.
The pastor, the Rev. Nathan Jennings, invites the public to attend.
