Trinity Baptist
Dr. Benny Carper will preach Sunday at the 11 a.m. service at Trinity Baptist Church, 458 E. Doe Ave. Lunch will follow the morning service.
Dr. Carper will also speak at a special service at 2 p.m. and at a series of revival services Sept. 3-5. Services will begin at 7 p.m. and everyone is invited.
Dr. James Richardson is pastor.

Pinecrest Baptist
Pinecrest Baptist Church, 2129 Old Lewis Road, will have an outdoor service Sunday at 6:30 p.m. An ice cream social will follow the service.
Everyone is invited.

Zion Baptist
Zion Baptist Church, 1982 Gap Creek Road, will have an outdoor movie night Saturday. The movie “I Can Only Imagine” will be shown.
The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. with hotdogs being served and the movie will start at dark. Be sure to bring your chairs and blankets.
Also, the youth will be selling popcorn and candy.
In the event of rain, the movie will be moved inside.

Oak Street
Oak Street Baptist Church is now accepting vendor applications for its annual Vintage Marketplace, which will be held Saturday, Nov. 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Vendors are being sought with high quality arts and crafts, handmade items, boutique clothing, home decor, furniture, garden, farm fresh, vintage, re-purposed items and antiques.
Vendor fees will go to International Missions. Vendor applications must be received by Oct. 1. Applications are available at www.oakstreetbaptist.net. and at the church office.
Oak Street Baptist is located at 804 Oak St.

Willow Springs
Willow Springs Baptist Church will celebrate homecoming Sunday, Sept. 9, with the Rev. Dean Smith preaching at the 10 a.m. worship service.
Sacred Harmony will sing at the 11 a.m. service, which will be followed by lunch.
All former members and pastors are invited to attend and share this special time of fellowship. There will be no evening service.
Regular church times are Sunday School at 10 a.m., worship at 11 a.m. and Wednesday prayer, Bible study, and children’s programs are at 7 p.m.
Everyone is invited.
Dr. Kenneth Jordan is serving the church as pastor.

Oakland Avenue Baptist
Revival services will be held Sept. 30 through Oct. 5 at Oakland Avenue Baptist Church, 2823 Oakland Ave., Johnson City.
The guest evangelist for the Sept. 30 service is Greg Lentz. The morning service will begin at 10:45 a.m. and will feature special singing. A homecoming meal will follow the morning service.
Guest evangelist for services Oct. 1-5 will be Dr. Ralph Sexton. Services will begin at 7 p.m.
The Rev. Roy Yelton is senior pastor and Charles Biggs is assistant pastor.

Sugar Hollow
Sugar Hollow Free Will Baptist Church, Roan Mountain, will celebrate homecoming Sunday.
The Rev. Edward Moser will be preaching at the morning service and special music will be provided by the young adults and youth of the church. The service will begin at 10 a.m.
There will be no evening service.

First Christian
Minister Michael Klaus will preach at the Sunday morning service Sept. 2 at First Christian Church, Elizabethton. Worship will be led by Dr. David Mills.
The communion meditation will be given by David Shields and scripture will be read by Judy Donley. The men of the church will present the special music.
Bible school classes will meet at 11 a.m.
The evening service is at 6 p.m. with Minister Klaus speaking.
The Tuesday morning prayer group will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the sanctuary with John Smith as leader.
Bible study will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the sanctuary.

Long Hollow
The Evangelaires will sing at Long Hollow Baptist Church Saturday at 6 p.m.

First Presbyterian
The sermon for Sunday morning worship at First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethton, will be presented by Rebecca Nunley. The reading for the service is “Can You Hear My Applause?” by Yoshin David Radin.
The service begins at 11 a.m. An Education Hour for all ages will be held at 10 a.m.
Other opportunities for the week include Meditation at 7 p.m. Wednesday; the Thursdays for Jesus Reading Group from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon Thursday; and Yoga Friday from 10 a.m. to noon.

VF House of Prayer
The Valley Forge House of Prayer will have a fundraising breakfast Saturday, beginning at 8 a.m.
A complete breakfast will be featured.
Everyone is invited.

Elk Mills
Homecoming will be held Sept. 2 at Elk Mills Christian Church. Also, a revival will begin Sept. 3 at the church and continue through Sept. 7, beginning at 7 p.m. nightly.

First United Methodist
“Did We Remember To Do It?” is the sermon theme for Sunday morning worship at First United Methodist Church, 325 E. E St. The scripture text is James 1: 17-27.
The service will begin at 9:55 a.m. followed by Sunday School at 11:20 a.m.
Wednesday night life lessons will be at 6 p.m. in the fellowship hall.
The 4:12 Junior High Student Ministries will meet Sunday from 4:12 to 5:25 p.m.; the Senior High Ministries from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m. Sunday. The Coolagers will meet Wednesday at 6 p.m.
