Beulah Ivalee Finney Richardson

Beulah Ivalee Finney Richardson, 98, of Elizabethton, passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Robert Andrew and Floria Hatley Finney.
Mrs. Richardson attended Watauga Academy where she played on the girls’ basketball team. She was a homemaker and loved to work in her flowers. She was the oldest living member of Dungan Chapel Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Roy L. Richardson, who died September 22, 2013; two brothers, Phillip and Robert C. Finney; and two sisters, Georgia Mae Taylor and Minnie Bell.
Survivors include her children, Bobby Richardson and Patsy Williams, of the home, James and Judy Richardson and Pamela and Lee Martin; her grandchildren, Donald Leslie Richardson, Dena Laws, Candy Shelton, Charice Richardson-Arnold and Christopher Richardson; her great-grandchildren, Stephen, Lucas and McKenna; one great-great-granddaughter, Jordan Hilman; two sisters, Martha Poole and Ora Belle “Jo” Burchett; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Richardson will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, September 13, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Dr. James Richardson and Rev. Eric Heaton officiating. Music will be provided by Greater Glory. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, September 14, in the Garland Cemetery. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Friday, will be Gary Arnold, Les Grindstaff, Glen Arnold, Bobby Oliver, Richard Donnelly and Ronnie Hodge. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Friday to go to the cemetery.
