Ronald Terry “Pat” Smith, 73, of Hampton, passed away Monday, October 1, 2018, at 3:30 p.m. at Sycamore Shoals Hospital in Elizabethton. Pat was born in Butler, Tenn., to the late Lillian Smith.
Pat retired from Comcast Cable Company and was a member of Union Baptist Church in Hampton.
Survivors include his son, Terry Dwayne Smith, and Dwayne’s mother, Scarlett, of the home; one other son, Shane Smith of Elizabethton; one uncle and several cousins.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, September 4, in the Mausoleum of Peace at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Dr. Tommy Smith, President of Johnson University, officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m., prior to the service. Friends and family are welcome at the home at any time. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Kathy Whitehead for the loving care given to Pat during his illness.
