Roy L. Ellison, 86, Hampton passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2018, at his residence. A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Nat & Mary Brummitt Ellison. He was a retired Roofer. He was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by to sisters and two brothers. He loved to fish.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years: Eula Stevens Ellison.  Four Daughters: Wanda Thomas, Hampton, Sharon Pilk & husband Timothy, Elizabethton, Carolyn Ayers, Hampton and Kim Birchfield & husband Mike, Roan Mountain. Four sons: Roy Eugene Ellison and wife Betty, Roan Mountain, Richard Ellison and Companion Carol, Elizabethton, Micky Ellison, Hampton and Bradley Ellison and wife Melissa, Unicoi. 14 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren and One Great Great Granddaughter. His four-legged buddies: Rusty & Trump.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 4, 2018, in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bob Campbell and Rev. Brandon Young officiating. Interment will follow in the Lyons Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Tim Pilk, Mike Birchfield, Tim Ayers, Roy Silvers, Joshua Thomas, Derrick Ellison, Cody Ellison, Michael Birchfield, Jason Birchfield, Preston Ayers and Payton Ellison. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the Staff of Amedisys Hospice. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
