Gap Creek Christian
In recognition of Veterans Day, Dr. David Mills will be guest speaker Sunday at the 6 p.m. worship service at Gap Creek Christian Church.
Dr. Mills, a Vietnam War veteran, will share about his mission work in Vietnam and Vets With A Mission.
Following the service, refreshments will be served.
Everyone is invited.

Stoney Creek Baptist
The Mylon Hayes Family from Boone, N.C., will present special singing Sunday at the 6 p.m. worship service at Stoney Creek Baptist Church.
The church is located at 1843 Highway 91, Stoney Creek, and everyone is invited.
The pastor is the Rev. David Foster.
New Liberty
New Liberty Free Will Baptist Church will recognize all military veterans Sunday at the 11 a.m. worship service.
Patriotic and military branch musical selections will be presented by the New Liberty Revival Choir and Ms. Laura Coleman.
Following the service lunch will be served in the church fellowship center for veterans, church family, and visitors.
There will be no evening worship service.
The Rev. Nick Colbaugh invites everyone to attend.
The church is located at 113 Peters Hollow Road near the Stoney Creek Volunteer Fire Dept.
First Christian
Sunday is Name Tag Sunday at First Christian Church, Elizabethton. Everyone attending will be given a name tag to wear, and will be encouraged to greet new people around them.
Minister Michael Klaus will preach at the morning worship service, which begins at 9:45 a.m. Al Whirledge will give the communion meditation and Jeff Campbell will read scripture. Frank Shepherd and Deborah Knapp will share a message in song for veterans.
First Christian is serving as a drop-off location for the Christmas shoeboxes for Samaritans Ministry. For questions and drop-off information, call the church office at 542-5651.
The Wednesday evening service is at 6 p.m., followed by choir practice at 7 p.m.
Carter Christian
Carter Christian Church will sponsor a holiday craft and bake sale today and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the church fellowship hall.
The church is located at 1765 Highway 91.
The sale will feature handmade crafts, holiday gift ideas, and delicious homemade goodies and canned foods.
The event is sponsored by the Carter Christian Church Ladies Aide Ministry.
Zion Baptist
Zion Baptist Church will present Jason Crabb in concert Sunday, Nov. 18, at 6:30 p.m. at the T.A. Dugger Junior High Auditorium.
Ticket, which are $20 general admission and $30 artist circle reserved, can be purchased at the Valley Forge Auction or online at www.zion-baptist.com.
Grammy winner Jason Crabb is well known as one of the most compelling voices in any genre of music. In addition to his Grammy award, Crabb has won 21 Dove awards — being named the Gospel Music Association’s Dove Awards Artist and Male Vocalist of the Year along with Song of the Year. Since his first solo release in 2009, Jason Crabb has performed at many of the world’s most prestigious stages such as Carnegie Hall, the Grand Ole Opry, the Brooklyn Tabernacle and Billy Graham’s final crusade in NYC.
First Free Will
The youth of First Free Will Baptist Church will sponsor a car show Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the church. The entry fee is a donation to the youth.
In addition to cars, cars, and more cars, there will be bluegrass music, and hamburgers and hotdogs will be available. There will also be a bake sale.
First Free Will is located at 706 First St.
First Presbyterian
The pastor, Dr. Brian Wyatt, will be preaching Sunday at the 11 a.m. worship service at First Presbyterian Church, 119 W. F St.
An Education Hour for all ages will be held at 9:45 a.m.
Other opportunities of the week include Meditation at 7 p.m. Wednesday; the Thursdays with Jesus Reading Group from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon Thursday; Exercise Class Tuesday and Thursday from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m.; and Yoga from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Friday.
Unaka Baptist
The Brotherhood at Unaka Baptist Church will have a country style breakfast Sunday from 7 to 10 a.m.
The menu will include biscuits, gravy, eggs, two kinds of sausage, bacon and hash brown potatoes. Other items are available on request.
The cost is $7 with proceeds going to the church building fund.
The public is invited to attend and enjoy the food and fellowship.
