James Clayton Moody

James Clayton Moody, 85, of Johnson City, passed away Monday, November 12, 2018, at Johnson City Medical Center.
Born March 21, 1933 in Banner Elk, N.C., he was a son of the late John Blevins and Lucy Moody.
Mr. Moody was a retired employee of Rainbow Bakery after 29 years of service. He was founder of the Ghost Riders Motorcycle Club in Johnson City in 1971. He also was founder of 20 more Chapters. He attended Cash Hollow Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Fay Moody, on August 6, 2018.
Survivors include three children, James Michael Moody and Greg Scott Moody, both of Johnson City, and Penny Lynn Moody, Kernersville, N.C.; five grandchildren, Jamie Michelle Moody, David Moody, Lucy Moody, Brook Kirkman and Beth Neal; great-grandchildren, Michael Clayton Moody, Emmaleah Dotson, Ashley Moody, Daniel Moody, Briana Moody, Jose Chavez and Damian Mejia; and four great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service for James Clayton Moody will be conducted at 7 p.m. Saturday, November 17, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev. James Cretsinger officiating.
