Michael David Harr

Michael David Harr, 67, of Johnson City, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018, at his residence. Born May 29, 1951 in Sikeston, Mo., he had lived in Tennessee for 20 years.
Michael served in the United States Army and was a retired commercial sign maker. He was a member of West Main Street Christian Church, Johnson City.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, David Paul Harr.
Survivors include his wife, Shelley Morton Harr; two sons, David Straney, Johnson City, and Erick Straney and wife Kelsey, Mocksville, N.C.; six grandchildren; his mother and step-father, Elva and Johnny Jones, Reno, Nev.; a sister, Paula Sue Harr, Reno, Nev.; and a nephew, David Grimes.
A service to honor the life of Michael David Harr will be conducted at 6 p.m. Monday, November 26, at West Main Street Christian Church, Johnson City, with Pastor Jeff Douds officiating. It was his wish to be cremated. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Memorial Funeral Chapel to help defray funeral expenses.
