Barbara Hartley Clemons, 56, of Elizabethton, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at her residence.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Bonnie Bowlin Hartley.
Barbara was employed in housekeeping for several years. She was a member of the Deliverance Church of God, Hampton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, David Hartley.
Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Gary Clemons; three children, Brian Rader and wife Ashley and Mark Hartley, all of Elizabethton, and Stephanie Carrier, Jonesborough; three step-children, Gary Clemons Jr. and wife April and Matthew Lee Clemons, all of Elizabethton, and Angela Yeager and husband Danny, Hampton; two sisters, Shirley Ward and husband Lenni, Elizabethton, and Sandra Thomas and husband John, Jonesborough; and one brother, Robert Bowlin, Johnson City.
Funeral services for Barbara Hartley Clemons will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 25, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Hobart Bradshaw officiating. Interment will follow in the C.L. Woodby Cemetery, Hampton. Active pallbearers will be Brian Rader, Mark Hartley, Jackie Hyatt, Daniel Murray, Lenni Ward and John Thomas. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the staff of Amedisys Hospice. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
