John Daniel “Dan” Ornduff

John Daniel “Dan” Ornduff, 77, of Elizabethton, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 25, 2018, at his residence. Dan was born in Elizabethton to the late Wylie and Helen Sneed Ornduff. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Buford Ornduff.
Dan was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He had been employed as a truck driver for General Shale for over 40 years and was of the Baptist faith. Dan enjoyed camping, trucks and motorcycles.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Daisy Rasnick Ornduff, of the home; three children, Teresa K. Belcher and husband John of Bristol, Tenn., John Mark Ornduff and wife Kim of Johnson City, and Julie Berry and husband Charlie of Elizabethton; his grandchildren, Cody Buckles, Lisa Moore, Melissa Nelson, Cydney Robertson and Emma Ornduff; his great-grandchildren, Madison Moore and John Nelson; a brother, Wilson Ornduff of Elizabethton; a very special nephew, Danny Ornduff of Elizabethton; and all of his special CB Buddies.
A service to honor the life of John Daniel “Dan” Ornduff will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 28, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Dr. James Richardson officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service, or at the residence at other times. The graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, November 29, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Keith Younce, Charlie Berry, Danny Ornduff, Wilson Ornduff, Glen Reece and Mark Ornduff. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, at 12:15 p.m. Thursday to go in procession.
