Jr. Bucs have little to offer as Hampton sweeps

The Hampton Jr. Dogs played host to University High in a pair of middle school games on Monday with Hampton taking both games with ease over their visitors from Johnson City.

University School 5

The Jr. Lady ‘Dogs got things going in the right direction quickly as University School offered little resistance in girls play with Hampton taking the 37-5 win.

It was a well-balanced scoring attack for Hampton as 11 players got their name in the scoring column.

Chloe Watson paced all the Jr. Lady ‘Dogs scoring 6 points in the game. Six players recorded four points each in the contest including Rylie McClain, Shania Pierce, Bre Davis, Linsey Jenkins, Macy Henry, and Piper Helle.

Lindsay Hardin (2), Ashley Carver (2), Taylor Berry (2), and Kenzie Ramey (1) closed out the scoring for the Jr. Lady Bulldogs.

Lenny Ortiz and Ella Bennett led University School with 3 and 2 points respectively.

In another dominating performance, the Hampton Jr. Dogs outscored the visiting Jr. Bucs to the tune of 52-24 to take the impressive victory.

Cadon Buckles had the hot hand for Hampton scoring 13 to lead the charge. Hayden Campbell also had a productive night offensively tallying 10 points.

Austin Bentley dropped in 9 points followed by Jonathan Greenwell (7), Ty McElyea (7), Dylan Trivett (3), and Levi Lyons (3).

Shepherd led the Jr. Bucs with 8 points followed by Braeden with 5 points.
