Ella Jay Morton Tolley, 96, Hampton passed away Friday, December 7, 2018 in the Hermitage Health Center following an extended illness. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late William & Essie Murray Morton. She was a homemaker who loved to cook and work in her yard. She attended Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Julius Tolley who died July 3, 1994 and by four brothers and one sister.

Survivors include her children: Sharon Moore & husband Arthur, Elizabethton and Julius Tolley, Jr & wife Sandy, Hampton. Two Grandchildren: Betty Jane Fernandes & husband Chauncey and Gary Hensley & wife Teresa. Several Great Grandchildren. One Sister: Erma Lee Wright, Elizabethton.

Graveside Service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the Mountain Home National Cemetery with the Rev. Dexter Brummitt officiating. Burial will follow the service. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.  Friends may visit with either of the children at their home. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the staff of Hermitage Health Center and the staff of Caris Hospice for all the care she received during her stay there.
